I now pronounce you man and white.

Today in my sociology class, somehow, we got talking about social norms. You know, what is accepted in our society and what is not. What is looked down upon and what is looked at as strange. My professor then asked the class a set of questions which we were to raise our hand if we agreed. He asked if we thought it was acceptable for younger women to date much older men, if it was okay that women kept her maiden name after marriage, and if gay marriage was acceptable. He then proceeded to ask the girls of the class if they would consider not wearing a white dress to their wedding. Only two girls in the class raised their hand; one being me. This got me thinking: why is it so strange to wear a different color dress to your wedding? So here’s where I ask you (my lady readers aka the majority) for your opinion. Would you or would you not wear a white dress to your wedding?
